Senior Field Service Technician
A leading manufacturer of reciprocating compressors has excellent career opportunities for a self-motivated Senior Field Service Technician, with appropriate mechanical engineering skills and experience to join their UK-based customer support services department.
Reporting to the Field Service Coordinator, successful applicants will be required to have completed a recognised craft apprenticeship and have achieved at least a standard of engineering education to City and Guilds level, with relevant mechanical field experience on reciprocating compressors and rotating equipment. Knowledge of compressor control systems or refrigeration would be advantageous although specific company product training would be provided.
The focus of the position is on mechanical installation, commissioning, planned maintenance and "trouble shooting" on reciprocating compressors, which shall include the following:
• site maintenance & technican assistance
• liason with the client at site
• working to company QA, H&S and administrative procedures and client operating practices
• sub contractor supervision
• training of others for specialist products
• identifying business development opportunities
The role requires a proactive and flexible approach in responding to client needs.
Successful applicants will be UK home- or workshop-based and must be available within reason to respond to work at any time in the UK or internationally. They will receive a competitive salary, allowances and benefits package, including use of a company vehicle.
